The Importance of Drinking Water

Drinking water daily is vital to our health. Water transports nutrients to cells, and can help prevent headaches, fatigue, and can even aid in weight loss or maintenance.

Did you know that when a person is thirsty, it is an initial symptom that the person is already dehydrated? It is very important to stay hydrated. People go shopping, take care of their children, go to work. It is important that we drink good and clean water throughout the day, so that our body can function at an optimal level. People who drink coffee and also people who exercise should drink more water than is recommended.

People lose water through breathing, sweating, and urinating. Sweating is the body's natural cooling mechanism, but if the water lost through sweat is not replaced, our body does not achieve optimal performance.

TAP WATER
Tap water meets certain safety levels but still contains toxins. Thanks to the government we can drink tap water since bacteria are eliminated because of added chlorine, making the water “clean” to drink. Without the use of chlorine, people would die from being exposed to numerous infections such as cholera, salmonella, and many others. But on the other hand, the tap water contains chlorine that is used as a disinfectant, so it also contains dioxins and carcinogens. Adding chlorine to the tap water eliminates bacteria but also releases large amounts of Free Radicals, so it is also important to know that when using chlorine as a sterilization method, the water oxidizes and this water is very acidic.

WHAT ARE FREE RADICALS?
Free radicals are molecules that have lost an electron and become oxidized. They are chemical substances that cause aging, DNA alterations, and inflammation, and this leads to cardiovascular disease, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, increased levels of bad cholesterol, and more serious health problems that we do not want to mention.
